Six years married to this amazing guy

One of the biggest questions we get asked when people find out we’re polyamorous is…why did you even get married? The answer to that is easy. I love NP. Irrevocably. With every fiber of my soul. We wanted to make a commitment to each other that we’d be in each other’s lives forever.

• We’re not each other’s “one and only”, but he is someone I’ve chosen to spend the rest of my life loving.
• He isn’t the “only person I could ever picture myself spending my life with”, but he is someone that I don’t want to live without.
• I’m not the only person he loves, but I am someone who gets to experience the entirety of his love.

Being non-monogamous doesn’t mean that we’re not committed to our relationships. For us, loving other partners doesn’t alter or detract from the love we have for each other.

Today, we’re celebrating 6 years from the day we solidified our forever.
